In 1993, the Government of India opened the LPG sector to private players also with a plan to reach LPG to every person and abstract the huge amount spend on subsidy account by the goverment of India. As the LPG utilization has grew in both domestic and non-domestic sector and it has become desideratum, and our Founder Director Mr. George P. Joseph perceived the opportunity of a new era of marketing LPG. Thus the Surya Petroleum was born in 1994. We went about establishing LPG business by constructing LPG filling plant in Central Kerala at Pinnakkanadu, Kottayam District, Kerala.
Surya Petroleums operates in Kerala under the brand name SURYA GAS. We are the first private LPG player in Kerala market. The Company has commenced filling LPG in cylinders from the plant with effect from May 1997. Perpetual technical assistance and customer services have been the power engines that drove SURYA GAS towards achieving many Firsts in Kerala LPG Market.
