THE HISTORY

Our story begins when five brothers emerged into the business panorama, of Parackal Family in Pala, Kottayam District, Kerala,an ancient family traditionally engaged in agriculture. The origin dates back to 1988, when Late George P. Joseph with a burning passion to make a difference set out to build a robust business fraternity for the prosperous of his family and the quest to understand human life, to enrich consumer lives.

Our first enterprise was Reliable Electronic Industry, produced mainly rechargeable lights and like wise electronic products. To bring out solace for rubber planters and farmers, for tapping rubber trees, which takes place early in the morning lusterless light, our founder introduced first rechargeable headlight in Kerala, and the product named ‘Sunny Nights’ as he also known in his nickname Sunny.

When his brothers joined with him, very soon the group expanded its wings and now doing the business to the length and breadth of Kerala. Having set the company on wheels he toyed with the idea of diversification in 1994, Mr. George P. Joseph brought the idea of marketing Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Kerala, when the Government of India introduced Import Liberalization Policy permitting parallel marketing of LPG by private entrepreneurs. And since then, with the great efforts and stratagem, we have achieved a substantial headways and efficacy.

In its endeavor to reach every nook and corner, Surya Gas is armed with over 70 distributors and over 35,000 customers across Kerala. Besides, the company also provided LPG bottling assistance to one of the prestigious public oil company, M/s. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. through the year 2002-2013.

The reputation has been built on sheer passion and a continuous quest to understand its consumer better. With stringent quality control measures, customer services, talented people and a responsible approach to business, this group continues to steadily capture the hearts of people across Kerala.
